In a self-centered world I think it’s important to remember there is always someone out there who is in need of encouragement! It’s so easy to get caught up in our own lives and forget this. I think a quote, bible verse, text, email, phone call or even better, a hand written note, can make such a huge difference in someone’s life. Sometimes you don’t even know how much!
I remember a few years back I was having an especially bad day. I was walking into the grocery store and I passed a woman who must’ve sensed my sadness. She looked right into my eyes and smiled at me …I smiled back! It brightened my day and I felt her “love.” I never saw her again but I never forgot this moment.
Today I opened my desk drawer and found this note my mom had written me.
I don’t remember exactly what this was about, but it is still encouraging to me today. It is also comforting to me to have something in my mom’s own handwriting!
I thought I’d share this thought with you today – If you are going through hard times I want to encourage you!
Deuteronomy 31:8, The LORD himself goes before you and will be with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged.”
