Tessie and George get hitched on new years day!

A few months back I received a phone call from a bride named Tessie, asking me if I had time to do her hair for a new years day “elopement.” Always makes me giggle that my name is still floating around on the internet from when I did hair for weddings! I explained I no longer did that but was shooting weddings…..

About an hour passed and she called back,”I’d really like to talk to you about shooting our wedding.” πŸ˜€ It was for new years day. I normally wouldn’t take work that day, but I enjoyed talking to Tessie so much, and I LOVE tiny weddings, so I said,”I’m in!”

The elopement turned into a few family members and friends. It was Tessie, George, their officiant Kevin, me and 5 other people. The couple arranged for a bouquet, boutonniere,Β and some flowers to decorate–Karl at Seithel’s flower shop, did such a beautiful job! Tessie’s bouquet was gorgeous!! My friend Tanesha did Tessie’s hair and she did her own makeup.

After the ceremony, Tessie, George and I walked all around Charleston to capture just the 2 of them. Tessie humored me when I brought out a favorite bird cage veil that I had grabbed before I left my house–It looked so amazing on her, I wish I had gotten her to wear it longer!

I would have never met this adorable and fun couple if it hadn’t been for an accidental call. πŸ˜€ Thanks y’all and see you soon!
