My Mom

Yesterday would have been my mom’s birthday. For those of you who don’t know, my mom passed away in June this year.  This photo was taken about 2 years ago before her cancer got really bad. I am so thankful for this and the other images I captured of her that day! We laughed and talked on the front porch of our family’s beachhouse–what a blessing! I will never forget it.

My hope for all of you who are reading this is to take the time to really love those around you. Life is full of surprises and change, and is so short! We never have any idea what will happen from day to day, moment to moment. Whatever you do, don’t take your life for granted, the blessings of loved ones, or rush around so fast you can’t spend time with them.

Work will always be there, but family won’t. Tell someone you love them today.

  • Tara - What a wonderful memory of your mom! I for one, have taken your advice and have made sure that I make time for those that I love so dearly. Its easy to let work get in the way of the important things sometimes, being reminded that we need to stop and spend time with those that we love is so important!

  • Gina Calvin - Juliet, I love this picture of your mom. It shows her full of life and humor! 🙂 Thank you for sharing this picture with us. I love you.
I truly appreciate your comments. We need to appreciate every minute we have with our loved ones.

  • Richard Israel - the Israel’s love Juliet 🙂

  • Jenn Locke - Juliet – What a lovely picture of your mom. I’ve been thinking of you this holiday season and wish your family much peace & love.
