Fourth of July in Brevard, NC

Mat and I took a quick trip up to Hendersonville and Brevard for the 4th of July this year. I am finally getting around to sharing these!

My favorite part was the old car show and street fair in Brevard. I LOVE OLD CARS! (did I mention I love old cars?? :))

This is a little 1940’s bungalow we rented. It was really cute but um, too many bugs for me!
These chickens and roosters lived across the street. I decided to pay them a little visit one day. πŸ˜€
I have always loved old buildings and wonder who visited years ago.
I had no idea I’d see santa! Β He was in disguise. πŸ˜€

  • isabelle - my dad’s name is bayne so i love that shot! ornamentals, how cute!

  • Kate Barnette - Ugh! I LOVE your style! Looks like y’all had fun!

  • Mat Jones - Overall it was an all-American 4th of July. We even watched “A Capitol Fourth” on PBS… it’s our dorky tradition πŸ™‚

  • juliet - awe that is right!! πŸ˜€

  • Angie - I love these! The cars are so cool… but I love the chickens, Santa, and the lady with the flags on her head! Wait, but the plastic food might win the prize! Great photography, Jule!

  • April - I’m so glad that you guys had a great time! Everyone needs some time to relax. I love the picture of the old grocery store. I used to have some old photos of a tiny grocery store that my great grandfather owned in Chicago and they are so cool. My dad told me that the grocery store is still there and that they have never removed the sign that was painted on the bricks. I’m dying to take a trip and take some photos of the place before it all fades away.
